Dear Fans of the Black Pearl - this blog comes to you courtesy of the Neeps watch as we find ourselves seven days of sailing away from Ireland with Gordon certain that the Guinness smells that much stronger. What’s more, as we break the thousand miles barrier, Neeps have heard…

Sue Scott
Age 43, HR Advisor
“My father was a keen sailor in his younger days, so maybe it’s in the blood,” says Sue, a human resources advisor born and bred in Glasgow. Prior to signing up she had spent about two months sailing dinghies on inland waters. “I called my dad’s pal who’s an instructor and asked him to teach me to sail. I joined the local sailing club and was hooked!” she explains.
Now having graduated from the comprehensive Clipper Training pre-race programme, she is ready to tackle the first leg of the race. “I had a ball on my training and the people were fantastic, after a few days we were like a well-oiled team.”
Sue is looking forward to being on the water and the competitive spirit generated by the rest of her team, seeing a bit of the world, “Oh, and having my meals cooked for me most days!”
