After sailing to victory in Liverpool in July 2006, the team representing Western Australia attempted to repeat their impressive win in Clipper 05-06. The Clipper fleet arrived in the Australian port of Fremantle in December 2007.

Stuart Sim
Age 50, IT Project Manager
Father of two Stuart, an IT project manager with Barclays Bank, is aiming to raise £35,000 as a result of his participation in the race. His efforts are in aid of the New Hope Children’s Centre, an orphanage in Kenya that is also supported by Barclays. The money would help meet the cost of a new school. Stuart saw posters advertising the race on the tube and was hooked. “I have lots of sailing under my belt,” he says, “but this is something else – ten months sailing around the world!
I want to be able to look back on my life and seize all the opportunities that have come my way – and I’d recommend others to do the same.”
